The magnetic field level (EMF) in nature is about 49μT(micro tesla) or 490mG(milli gauss); 1μT = 10mG.
When any metal (steel, iron ore) is near, magnetic field level will increase.
Data is displayed in µT (micro Testla).
1µT = 10mG (milli Gauss).
The magnetic field in nature ranges from 25 to 65 µT (0.25 to 0.65 G).
Any higher measurement is an indication of metal in the area.
If the app does not work as it should then the problem is in your magnetic sensor.
